The night after the snake totem was returned to its place and Alan recarved the runes, the jungle was silent. The halfling tribe was very happy, and presented their saviors with baskets on baskets of tropical fruits and flowers.
When the situation was explained to the tribe elders, they were quite preturbed, since the story of why exactly those ruins were bad luck had indeed been lost for several generations. They decided to seal the ruins up in a more permanent fashion, and so the tribe's shamans went the next day to the ruins and called upon the spirits to sink them into the ground. The spirits apparently answered their calls, because by the end of the day the tomb was nothing but a flat muddy spot, covered in vines.
With the ship fixed, and the tribe's problem apparently solved, the Astra sailed off back to Mazran. . .
//Note: if anybody wanted to have further conversation with the town elders or pursue the matter further, the thread is open. If not, then consider the jungle people happy in their newfound safety. Sorry this quest was rushed at the end.
